Instructions: Get your information updated!

 

1 Prepare a Word document with your organisation's information, in the following format:
  Table: Focus Area Activites: xxxx
 
Focus Area Description Objectives Results

e.g. DISR with foam and emulstion

  Table: Reports for Focus Area: xxx
 
Title of Report Report no Author(s) Date of Issue

 

 

 

     
 

Save your file: NB DO NOT USE SPACES IN YOUR FILENAME.

 

2.

Open the directory where your file with your Focus area activity and Report table is saved. Keep the directory open on you desktop.

 

3.

Open your internet browser.

 

4. Connect to ftp://ftp.csir.co.za/BE/Infrastructure_Engineering/HVSIA/ with your internet browser
 

 

5. Open your organisation's folder (e.g. RSA-Gautrans, CRRL, etc)
 

 

6. With your mouse, right-click anywhere on the empty space to get to the following menu:

Choose the "Login As.." Option

 

8. Type in the username and password: Username: upload and password: upload . Click on "Login"
 


9.

Transfer your files to the FTP directory (Drag and Drop, or Cut and Paste)

  Transfer the reports that you want to make available on the website (and that are included in your reports table).
 

NB : The names of the files being transferred should NOT contain spaces!

 

 

10. Send an e-mail to: rcastely@csir.co.za to request the upload of your information.
